Did you know that where you live can determine your child's future?

Children who live in neighborhoods with less segregation and better schools do better in life: They are more likely to complete a college degree, earn more money as adults, and are healthier.

The Westchester Neighborhood Choice Program wants to help families living in Westchester County and receiving Housing Choice Vouchers administered by CVR move to opportunity areas. If you have a child in your home under the age of 13 and currently live in one of the shaded 'Impacted Areas' in the map below, you may be eligible to receive mobility counseling services to move to one of the 'Opportunity Areas' in Westchester County. Opportunity Areas have low crime, low poverty rates, and quality schools.

There are many areas in Westchester County that provide positive living environments for young children. Please visit the Community Profiles Page for more information on some of Westchester's Opportunity Areas to help you decide which community is right for your family.
